Olympus – Loaded
Mark and Jen met us at Busfest 2013 and after a long discussion they decided we were the right converters for them. Mark, a talented carpenter himself working in the kitchen industry had many ideas of his own which we have incorporated into this conversion.
This is based on the Olympus conversion but with many extras and deviations from the norm.
First off, Mark and Jen wanted a specific HPL wood finish which we had specially manufactured. Then it was a glass worktop, 25mm thick and cut precisely to a given template, very challenging to work with but the results are fantastic. Hot and cold water was next on the wish list, courtesy of a Webasto heater. We fully incorporated this into the cupboards but managed not to lose the entire cupboard to the components. This also supplies a rear mounted shower, hot and cold water on tap.
The floor was strip floor material with inserts, the pattern had to be careful planned to ensure it was square and the border was equal between units, the side step and the RIB seat.
The leather upholstery was a cream and powder blue affair giving a 50’s diner feel, this was finished off with a gear stick boot cover to match.
The external window was also a first, a bespoke etched image onto the external surface, this is not a sticker!, It looks awesome!
The roof is a SCA 194 and has roof bars fitted. Sounds are provided by a Parrot smart head unit.
Painted brake callipers, a full body kit, meaty side bars and a unique rear exhaust pipe finish the outside off perfectly.
Once again a very challenging conversion but the results are very much worth it and Mark and Jen are Very happy with it.
